This is the Note Topic field. When a new project is first created, the note topic, "Misc Notes", is also created. The "Misc Notes" topic is the link for your project index and cannot be deleted unless you are deleting the entire project.
To create a new note for the selected project, simply click into this topic field and enter the new topic. Note topics entered here cannot contain a colon ':'

To enter a daily note, go to the desired date. If the date is shown in the topic area, you are already in the daily notes mode. If not, clicking on the [< Daily] button to the right of the topic area will recall the Daily Note option. Just click into the note body and begin typing. The topic display will go blank whC

re typing a daily note and will reappear when you press enter or exit the field. Notes entered in the Daily Notes mode will be saved to file under that date. Daily notes for a specific day can be found by going to the date for that note.
Toggle the text ruler. The text ruler gives you edit capabilities similar to a word processor. Refer to the FileMaker manual or on line Help viewer for more information.

Use this button to print the note. Do not use the Print option in the pull down file menu. You will be asked if you want the note printed with a header. The header contains basic info about the note, including topic, print date etc. When
is selected the note will print without a header. You may prefer this option for letters, or other text. The note will print with a .5 inch margin all around unless you alter the margins using the text ruler.

"These are the dates that define the period covered by your repeating schedule. When you first arrive at this screen these dates will default to the current date through the end of the current year or next year if Oct or later. Change these dates as necessary to accommodate your schedule.
AdEnter a schedule event or To Do List entry for your recurring item. Time and priority are optional.
ZITo specify Consecutive Days, enter a beginning date and ending date here.

screen will produce a list of dates here. This screen allows you to view and edit your repeating items before posting to your schedule or To Do List. When the entries appear as you want, use the [Post Item] button, above left, to post them to your files.
View your schedule or To Do List for the selected date. The repeating item will appear as it would after posting. You can use this feature to check for possible timing conflicts, etc.
ABClick on this button to omit the date from the repeating schedule.
A:Click on the [Change] button to change an individual date.

If a date coincides with a posted holiday, the holiday name will appear here. Post holidays to the Planner using the Holiday file which can be reached from the main menu or Daily Screen.

Select a monthly Calendar for any month in any year. This option may also be faster than using the arrow buttons if the desired month is further away in sequence.
AFClick on the Day number to go to the Daily view for the selected date.
If there are more than 5 schedule entries for the date, this arrow will turn red. Go to the expanded view to see the other entries

This will print the calendar in landscape orientation. Do not use the Print option in the File pull down menu. Up to 6 schedule entries will be visible for each day. Choose the grayscale option in your print dialog box. Otherwise all grids will print as solid black!

As time passes, you will probably want to do some house cleaning in the Planner file system. Old notes and To Do List records may accumulate and cause clutter in the various windows and menus.
You can remove those old records here! You may choose to delete them or store them in the special
Archives
file. They
ll be safely tucked away, ready if you need them, but not included in the various routines and menus of the Daily Planner. The Archives can be opened from the main menu.
